At Olson Personal Injury Lawyers, giving back to the communities we serve is an important part of who we are. That’s why we were proud to partner with Foothills Animal Shelter for a special adoption event that helped dozens of deserving pets find loving homes.
On Sunday, June 28, we sponsored a reduced adoption fee event for all dogs and cats over one year old at Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado. From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., families and animal lovers came together to meet adoptable pets and celebrate the joy of pet adoption.
Welcoming Pets Home
Our team, including founding attorney Sean Olson, spent the day welcoming new pet owners and celebrating every adoption. Each family that adopted a pet received a special welcome home gift bag from Olson Personal Injury Lawyers to help their newest family member settle in.
Visitors also had the opportunity to stop by our booth and spin our prize wheel for fun pet-themed giveaways, including:
- Stainless steel water bowls
- Dog waste bag dispensers
- Ball throwers
- Pet first aid kits
- Hand sanitizer
- And other helpful prizes
It was wonderful to meet so many members of our community and celebrate the excitement of giving shelter animals a second chance.
Extending the Adoption Promotion
Making a Meaningful Impact
The results of the adoption campaign exceeded expectations.
Between June 28 and July 6, Foothills Animal Shelter processed 153 adoptions, with 81 pets qualifying for the reduced adoption fee. This represented a significant increase compared to the same time period in 2025.
These successful adoptions not only connected more pets with loving families but also created much-needed space within the shelter. With additional capacity, Foothills Animal Shelter is better positioned to care for more animals in need and provide support to neighboring shelters and rescue organizations, including assisting with animals displaced by Colorado wildfires.
