National Associations
The American Association for Justice (AAJ) is a national organization of trial lawyers devoted to justice and fairness for people who have been injured. Based in Washington, D.C., AAJ works to protect the right to a jury trial and to strengthen the civil justice system, including by sharing information that bears on public health and safety. Its members have access to continuing legal education, litigation resources, and practice-area sections and litigation groups, and the organization works alongside a network of affiliated trial lawyer associations in the United States and Canada. AAJ also advocates on federal and state legislation affecting injured consumers. The organization was previously known as ATLA and adopted its current name in 2006.

State Associations
Established in 1953, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) is a Denver-based specialty bar association for attorneys who represent individuals in civil litigation, with more than 1,300 members across Colorado. The association focuses on increasing public safety and protecting the right to trial by jury. CTLA offers its members continuing legal education, trial training, networking opportunities, and professional development resources. It also promotes individual rights through amicus briefs filed in the courts and through work with the Colorado legislature, and it supports public education efforts such as programs aimed at ending distracted driving.

The Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association (WTLA) is a voluntary statewide legal organization headquartered in Cheyenne. Its attorney members work to protect the health and safety of Wyoming families, expand consumer protections, and preserve the ability of Wyoming residents to have their cases heard by a jury and to access the courts. WTLA supports the quality of legal representation in the state through continuing legal education programs centered on trial skills, and it follows legislative and judicial activity that affects Wyoming families and workers. The association is also involved in community safety work, including providing bicycle helmets to children, supporting distracted driving prevention programs for high school students, and mentoring University of Wyoming law students.
