On Saturday, June 20, 2026, members of our team, including attorney Sean Olson, participated in Sierra’s Race Against Meningitis, a 5K event held in Loveland, Colorado.
Our firm was proud to sponsor this year’s race, which honors the memory of attorney Matt Broderick’s high school classmate, Sierra, while raising awareness about meningitis and supporting ongoing research and education efforts. The event brought together families, friends, and community members to celebrate Sierra’s legacy and help make a difference in the fight against this devastating disease.
Participating in events like Sierra’s Race reflects our commitment to supporting meaningful causes both inside and outside the courtroom. It was an honor for our team to join the Loveland community for a morning dedicated to remembrance, hope, and making a positive impact.
We are grateful to the organizers, volunteers, participants, and everyone who helped make this year’s event a success.
About Sierra’s Legacy
Sierra’s Race Against Meningitis is named after Sierra Marie Krizman, whose memory continues to inspire this annual community gathering. Through her father’s heartfelt memoir shared on the race website, Sierra’s spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew her and in the mission of everyone who participates each year. The race has become more than a fundraising event; it’s a tribute to Sierra’s life and a powerful platform for meningitis awareness and education.
More Than Just a Race: A Comprehensive Community Health Initiative
What sets Sierra’s Race apart is its commitment to comprehensive meningitis prevention and awareness.
Beyond the 5K run and Kids Fun Run, the event features a free meningitis vaccination clinic on race day, ensuring families have direct access to life-saving preventive care. The race also highlights stories from families affected by meningitis, including guest speakers like Aracelly Bibl, who lost her son Joseph to Meningitis B.
Through a combination of community celebration, education, and direct access to vaccination services, Sierra’s Race Against Meningitis delivers on its mission to save lives, making it a vital annual event in the Loveland community and beyond.
