We often get asked how much does a personal injury lawyer cost, and most of the time the answer to that question is nothing.
Most personal injury lawyers will take your case on on what’s called a contingency fee basis, and that means the lawyer is not asking for a retainer or sending you a bill every month for their time.
The lawyer is simply going to get paid at the end of the day if they’re able to find a result for you resolution to your case and that usually becomes a percentage of whatever the lawyer is able to collect for you.
Most times that lawyer is also going to be fronting costs along the way to pay for medical records, to pay for investigations, and pay for experts.
So most of the time it is a risk-free proposition for anybody who has a personal injury case to hire a lawyer to take that case on for that.
