Is There a Specific Nursing Home Abuse Case That You Are Proud Of?

I’m proud of just about every nursing home case that we’ve handled here at Olson Personal Injury Lawyers, but we recently resolved one that I’m especially proud of where a 92-year old dementia patient was having repeated falls in an 8-week stint at a nursing home. She had 8 falls. And that just shouldn’t happen.

Fall after fall, she would get hurt and eventually she started developing fractures, and in elderly patients, if you develop fractures, especially hip fractures, it can absolutely undermine your health and undermine your longevity. Unfortunately, she did pass away from falls with recurrent fractures.

We got involved and we were able to convince the nursing home company in that case that they needed to resolve that case because the problems in that case were too many to count, and we were able to get a good result for our client in that case without having to go the 12, or 15, or 18 months to trial and I think that’s a result of the success that we’ve had in that nursing home realm for the last several years.
