In addition to practicing law, Matt enjoys coaching mock trial law students and judging mock trial competitions. He also mentors students in Judge Arguello’s Law School Yes We Can program, which aims to assist students of disadvantaged backgrounds get into and graduate from law school. Matt is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association, and has severed in several leadership roles, including Chair of the Denver Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and as a voting member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Board of Governors.
Matt was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado. After venturing out of state for college, Matt returned to Colorado to attend law school at the University of Denver Strum College of Law. Matt met his wife in his last year of law school, who is also from the Loveland/Fort Collins area. Three kids later, Matt and his wife live in the Denver-Metro area and frequently visit northern Colorado to spend holidays with family, camp in Red Feather, sightsee in Estes Park, and hike in and around Rocky Mountain National Park. Matt and his wife also enjoy catching the occasional Broncos or Rockies game, and they love cheering on their kids in their many activities.
