About Matthew Broderick

Matt is a trial lawyer at Olson Personal Injury Lawyers. After years of representing corporate defendants and insurance companies, Matt left his position as a partner at one of the country’s largest defense firms to join Olson Personal Injury Lawyers to represent people injured by others’ wrongdoing. Matt chose Olson Personal Injury Lawyers because it is one of the few personal injury law firms in the Rocky Mountain region devoted to unwavering client experiences, outstanding results, and the pursuit of justice.

Matt has significant experience handling medical malpractice and nursing home litigation. Matt has handled cases involving surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, general practitioners, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, paramedics, nurses, and certified nursing assistants. Matt has also managed litigation concerning hospitals, acute care facilities, urgent care facilities, nursing homes, long term care facilities, assisting living facilities, and independent living facilities. Matt is a Long Term Care Power Lawyer – a program designed to train attorneys in the intricacies of long term care trial practice, and he has been recognized as a medical malpractice Rising Star by Colorado Super Lawyers every year since 2021. In addition to healthcare matters, Matt has experience in personal injury actions, including automotive accidents, motorcycle accidents, trucking accidents, slip/trip and falls, as well as consumer protection actions and claims against government entities.

Matt was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado. After venturing out of state for college, Matt returned to Colorado to attend law school at the University of Denver Strum College of Law. Matt met his wife in his last year of law school, who is also from the Loveland/Fort Collins area. Three kids later, Matt and his wife live in the Denver-Metro area and frequently visit northern Colorado to spend holidays with family, camp in Red Feather, sightsee in Estes Park, and hike in and around Rocky Mountain National Park. Matt and his wife also enjoy catching the occasional Broncos or Rockies game, and they love cheering on their kids in their many activities.

In addition to practicing law, Matt enjoys coaching mock trial law students and judging mock trial competitions. He also mentors students in Judge Arguello’s Law School “Yes We Can” program, which aims to assist students of disadvantaged backgrounds get into and graduate from law school. Matt is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association, and has severed in several leadership roles, including Chair of the Denver Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and as a voting member of the Colorado Bar Association’s Board of Governors.
