For more than two decades, Brian Reynolds has represented individuals and families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases throughout Colorado and Wyoming. He builds every case from the outset to withstand scrutiny at trial. His work focuses on cases where serious harm results from failures in basic safety systems or procedures — not chance.
Brian represents clients injured in delivery truck and commercial fleet crashes, bus and rideshare incidents, construction and industrial safety failures, dangerous property conditions, and other catastrophic events caused by failures in basic safety systems or procedures. Common injuries include traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, severe orthopedic trauma, amputations, and wrongful death. His work also includes railroad employee claims under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA) and claims against the United States under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA).
Brian has particular expertise in serious dog bite and dog attack cases, focusing on issues of supervision, control, and preventable safety failures. Outside the practice of law, he trains and handles working Belgian Malinois and competes at the highest levels of mondioring, a protection dog sport. That experience provides practical insight into canine behavior and access to experienced trainers and behaviorists while maintaining focus on owner responsibility and public safety.
Brian is a graduate of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) and advanced trial colleges, has taught continuing legal education courses on legal ethics and professional liability, served as an editor on the Denver University Law Review, and was the winner of the 1997 Daniel S. Hoffman Trial Advocacy Competition. He is known for clear case framing, careful investigation, and effective courtroom advocacy.
What Clients Say About Working with Brian Reynolds
“My wife and I were on vacation from the UK, touring Colorado in a rental car. Early in our trip we were in a bad traffic accident which really shook us up and caused my wife to suffer pretty bad whiplash, as well as disrupting our holiday plans. The other driver was cited by the PD after multiple witnesses said he was entirely at fault. We got in touch with Brian Reynolds from Olson, who suggested meeting near Denver Airport on the day we were flying home; this was very convenient for us. Brian’s Paralegal, Jennifer Shelby, did a great job facilitating the meeting, overcoming problems we experienced making voice calls on our cellphones, and was a pleasure to talk to. At the no obligation meeting Brian listened attentively and empathetically to our story and was genuinely sorry for our experience whilst a long way from home. He explained the relevant law and insurance aspects clearly and gave us sound practical advice about our position and our options. At no time did we feel the clock was ticking, nor were we put under any pressure to sign up; in fact Brian suggested we take the Attorney-Client Agreement home to study properly and get legal advice from a UK lawyer, should we wish. We were impressed by Brian both as a person and as a professional. If our dealings with him and Jennifer reflect the standards Olson maintains across the practice, we would have no hesitation in recommending the firm to potential clients.”
